Presentations, panel discussion, poster session, presentation of products and services, evening Bratislava sightseeing – guided tour

Field trip; on-site presentation of works on power lines (mitigation measures to prevent collisions, electrocution and installation of nest boxes)

Conference registration and contact
The event is intended for experts facing challenges related to birds and power lines.
The number of participants with NO REGISTRATION FEE is limited to 100.
Related costs of coffee breaks, lunch and networking dinner (1st day), sightseeing tour and field trip are covered by the organizers.
The participants will cover costs for accommodation, travel costs and meals other than mentioned above.
If capacity is reached, the conditions of participation will be communicated individually. The organizers reserve the right not to accept registration beyond the event capacity.
The deadline for registration is 31 December 2025. If you are also registering an oral presentation or a poster, the abstract must be submitted (see below) by 20 November 2025.

If you have registered an oral presentation or a poster, please submit the abstract (max. 2000 characters) in English via the online form below by 20 November 2025. You will be informed whether your abstract was accepted and will receive more detailed instructions.
If you are registering both an oral presentation and a poster, please submit a separate abstract for each.
It is expected that posters will be presented within the poster session.
The official language of the conference will be English.

Partnership & cooperation
The conference is held within the LIFE Danube Free Sky project, with the partnership of the IENE group.
Increasing the safety of power lines for birds is one of the topics that the IENE group has been actively addressing in the long term, also within the Birds & Powerlines Working Group, which was established in 2024.
Accommodation for participants at Hotel Tatra (the conference venue)
Single room with breakfast: €90 / night + city tax €3.50 person / night
Double room with breakfast: €110 / night + city tax €3.50 person / night
To apply the above rates, please send a booking request to rezervacie@hoteltatra.sk until 2 February 2026 at latest and include the reference “FREESKY” in the email.
The prices above apply for the period 9 March – 12 March 2026.
Participants pay for the accommodation individually upon arrival at the reception.
CANCELLATION POLICY
44 - 30 days before the stay begins Hotel reserves the right to charge 30 % of the whole price of the ordered accommodation and services.
29 - 15 days before the stay begins Hotel reserves the right to charge 70 % of the whole price of the ordered accommodation and services.
In case of cancellation 14 - 1 day before arrival Hotel shall be entitled to charge 100 % price of the ordered accommodation and services.
The decisive day for calculating the value of the cancellation is the day when the client announces the cancellation of the reservation.
The hotel takes into account the value of the last updated reservation before the decisive day.
Snow and adverse weather conditions are not considered as reason for reservation cancellation without cancellation fee.
We kindly remind you that check-in is from 2pm and check out time is untill 11am.
