This year's theme of the World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD) is: "Protect Insects, Protect Birds". Watch the first video from the series Introducing LIFE Danube Free Sky in Slovakia about activities conducted to support the biodiversity within the area leased under our project. 

More information is provided by Roman Slobodník, Landscape Manager from Raptor Protection of Slovakia, who is working on the transformation of 10 hectares of formerly arable land into permanent grassland, which creates suitable living conditions for various insect species as well as small mammals, which attract many bird species. Anton Krištín from the Slovak Academy of Sciences will briefly present the monitoring of the insects that are regularly carried out in the area in order to assess the effectiveness of the measures taken.
