In November, a joint team of the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BSPB) and Electricity Distribution Grid West AD (EDG West AD) successfully installed 50 artificial nest boxes (houses) for the nesting of the European Roller.
In November, a joint team of the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BSPB) and Electricity Distribution Grid West AD (EDG West AD) successfully installed 50 artificial nest boxes (houses) for the nesting of the European Roller.
With the help of volunteers, 15 "T" shaped wooden platforms have been installed on the land in the long-term leased under the project in Veľký Ostrov, southern Slovakia. Platforms are used primarily by birds of prey to perch on and rest or hunt the prey.
On Friday, October 14, 2022, the second birdwatching camp was held in Croatia, organized by PINP Kopački rit. Students from Agricultural and Veterinary School from Osijek participated in the event. During the event, the participants learned about the project activities and the project area.
The Raptor Protection of Slovakia, in cooperation with the Slovak Electricity Transmission System, Plc. are installing special elements on power lines to increase their visibility for birds.
