IMPERIAL EAGLES FROM SLOVAKIA STAY WITH NEIGHBOURS

Imperial Eagle (Aquila heliaca) with a "backpack" - a mini-transmitter, which was fitted to six individuals in Slovakia in June 2022 was spotted and photographed in Lower Austria region. This particular individual is from the village of Neded in the Šaľa district.

Project Team

This summer, 5 juveniles of the Imperial Eagle in Hungary were equipped with satellite transmitters thanks to cooperation with the Hungarian Ornithological and Nature Conservation Society MME - Magyar Madártani Egyesület, BirdLife Hungary.

Project Team

An exhibition dedicated to the birds of the Danube and their habitats is on display in the Sea Garden in Varna from September 9 until September 22. The exhibition was opened on September 9th as part of the International Symposium “Music alongside the Danube” which is included in the the program of Varna Summer International Music Festival 2024.
