The White-tailed Eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) is a spectacular bird, one of the largest birds of prey in Europe. It lives in the vicinity of the aquatic habitats, with enough food and trees for nesting. The nest is usually repaired each year, and throughout time it can grow several metres in width & depth. The second bird watching activity organized within the Life Danube Free Sky project took place yesterday, on 5th of June 2024, occasion to celebrate World Environment Day together with a group of students from Tulcea Brad Segal Technological High School, future ecologists professionally trained by their teachers for a sustainable future of natural values.
